I am still reading Snakehead by Anthony Horowitz and it is really good(if you don’t know what Snakehead is, it is a book about a fourteen year old boy who is a secret agent).  In fact I think the book is amazing.

Some things I like about the book is that it is in a series and I like books in a series.  The author is a great author too.  He is so good at describing things that it paints a picture in your mind.  I also like how the main character doesn’t have main character powers(he stays alive and nothing bad happens to him).  I like how the plot fits together like a puzzle and every time you read a book you get more pieces to that puzzle.  Something else about the plot I like is how things don’t tern out how you would guess.  I like all the gadgets Alex gets over the books, it is fun to see what he gets for every mission.

I don’t really dislike alot of things about this book but there are some stuff.  Since the plot is kinda weird it is hard to predict things, so when I do my thinkmark, a thing I use to track my thinking,  I don’t really have a lot of inferences.

Today I watched a TEDtalk about Adora Svtak.  I don’t know if you have heard of her but she was twelve and she made a speech in front of a lot of famous people and she wasn’t even nervous.  She said that kids are all that irresonsable and that adults should listen to what their kid(s) has to say because they are the future and kids are going to be better than the generation before them.  She wasn’t born smart or couragous or brave she learnd how to do all those on her own.  That was a very inspired me to try my best and do 110% at everything because one day I could be president or maybe you could.

Have you ever been playing a game with your parents and they went easy on you and you won?  Well Adora said that parents shouldn’t go easy because sometimes failure gets you closer to success.  I think that was a very good lesson to learn because just because someone is better than you at something you should still never give up because one your not perfect at everything and two if you work hard and sett your mind to doing it you become better.

I think that parents shouldn’t try to lower their expectations because kid(s) will fall to those expectations.  Who knows maybe kid(s) will succeed.  I also think that parents should trust their kids more because again kid(s) might succeed.  I am not saying that if kids want to become a doctor or a lawyer that they will automatically be come a doctor or a lawyer but if you raise your expectations it will give them a better chance.  I hope that parents will raise there expectations and trust you some more because who knows you could be the president in a couple of years.

Parents, you must lend an ear today, because we are the leaders of tomorrow.

I am reading a book called Snakehead (by Anthony Horowitz) and it is really good.  I recommend this book to you because it is a very good book and a really awesome read.  It is so good it is almost impossible to stop reading (I am on page 100 and started yesterday).  The author does a great job at painting a picture in your mind and I am not just saying that, the book is REALLY GOOD!  Trust me if you read books with lots of spies and lots of action this is a book for you.  I think that you will like the book no matter what, but this book is the 7th book in the series.  The first book in the series is Stormbreaker, which is a good read to; in fact all the books in the series are good.  I hope you read the series because it is great and if you don’t your missing out.  By the way if you read the series don’t go out of order or it will be very confusing.  The order is Stormbreaker Point blank, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike, Scorpia, Ark Angel, Snakehead, and last but certainly not least, Crocodile Tears.

I am currently reading a book called Scorpia.  It is the fifth book in the series.  It is about a boy called Alex Rider, a kid spy, who works for the MI6, Military Intelligence 6.  Alex is on his own looking for an organization called Scorpia.  Alex is looking for Scorpia because he thinks his father used to be part of Scorpia.  Alex goes to Vince(that is where someone told him to look for it) and searches for Scorpia, but has no luck, but what he does find is a member of Scorpia who is leaving Vince in a couple of days.  Alex is forced to follow her.  Will Alex ever find Scorpia?

I think this book is a good read, but so far it has not been as good as the last book, Eagle Strike.  I still think it is a book worth reading though, because I want to finish the series, I am addicted.  If you want to start the series start with Stormbreaker.  I think if I had to rate the Book so far would give it a 8.75.

I am reading a book called Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz.  It is the 4th book in the series.  Here is a brief summery.

A 14 year old boy named Alex Rider(main character) is on a vacation with his girlfriend, Sabina and her family.  He is having a good time until he sees Yassen Gregorovich(a contract killer who killed Alex’s Uncle).  He thinks Yassen is up to no good.  One day he comes home to find that his house exploded by a bomb and almost killed  Sabina’s Father.  While Alex was trying to convence the cops that it was Yassen’s fault he finds an article that Sabina’s Dad was writing.  It was something about Damian Cray.  He decides to go aboard Yassen’s ship to see if he can find any evidence.  In the end he finds a telephone number.  He calls it and figures out that it is Cray’s phone number.  Now he knows the bomb had something to do with Damian Cray.  Will Alex prove that Damian Cray was behind this.  Read the book and find out.

I thought this book was a really good read and that the author did a good job at painting a picture in my mind.  If I had to rate thin book out of 10 I would give it a 9.5.  I think that it is so good that I will read Scorpia for my next book club, the 5th book in the serious

As you may already know mostly everyone gets newspaper, but what if no one reads it?

Well the problem sort of because of kids.  When we become teens we will get most of our information of the internet.  So when someone who reads the newspaper dies he doesn’t get replaced by his/her son/daughter.

I think that kids should read the newspaper some of the time, instead of being a couch potato.  One of the problems why kids aren’t going to read the newspaper is because they are so addicted to video games and computers.  If you limit the time on the video games per week then maybe some kids will read the newspaper.  So kids if you are reading this and about to go play video games go read the newspaper!

Alex Rider and Sarov have the most important connections in this book.  Alex Rider really wants to stop Sarov’s plan of making Russia a communism country, but at the same time Sarov loves Alex and wants him to be his son.  Sarov wants Alex to be his son because Sarov son died and he thinks Alex kind  resembles him.  These connections are very important because the only reason that Sarov doesn’t kill Alex is becauase Sarov wants to adopt Alex.  Also, if Alex hadn’t wanted to stop Sarov the story would be pointless.  There would be no plot that kept the reader going at all.  If Sarov didn’t want Alex to be his son then Alex would have been died from the beginning.  One question I had while reading is if Sarov was not fond of Alex how would the plot line change?

I am reading a book called Skeleton Key by Anthony Horowitz. The main character Alex works for a secret agency called the MI6.  He doesn’t want to go on a mission and so the MI6 send him with two “Parents” to Skeleton Key(there islands).  When he gets there he figures out that his fake parents are looking for a bomb.  Then the day later his partners die and Alex is left to finish the mission(save the world)before it is to late. One thought I had while reading was How does Alex feel when he is on a mission right in front of a bad guy.  Another is Does Alex ever wish he wasn’t a spy.  I thought this because beening a spy could get you killed.  I also thought What are the good parts about being a spy.  I thought this because not everything is bad about being a spy.

“I’d rather be dead than have a father like you,” Alex said.’

There were voices shouting Footsteps drew nearer.

“Good-bye, Alex,” Sarov said.

He raised the gun and fired a single shot.

I thought that the passage in the book was very scary.  For one thing the main character might have just died(WARNING READ FATHER AND THE BOOK WILL BE RUINED). Another thing is is that if you read the end of the book Sarov killed himself not Alex, but Alex saw Sarov die right in front of him.
